A family in Playa Del Rey is seeking a compassionate and experienced CNA or LPN to provide 12-hour care for their 77-year-old father, who has advanced vascular dementia following multiple strokes, as well as diabetes. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and capable of assisting with daily needs, including medical support and mobility assistance. This is a temporary position: May 1, 2025 - August 15, 2025; however, there is an opportunity to relocate to Las Vegas if desired.
LOCATION: Playa del Rey, CA
SCHEDULE: Hiring for TWO Caregivers
Shift 1: Three 12-hour days (8am-8pm)
Shift 2: Four 12-hour days (8am-8pm)
RATES: Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant): $30-40/hr gross + applicable overtime
LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse): $40-55/hr gross + applicable overtime
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Personal Care: Assist with showering, diaper changes, and accident cleanup.
Medication Management: Administer AM/PM medications and, if LPN, perform needle pricks 3x daily as needed.
Companionship: Provide social engagement and emotional support.
Mobility Assistance: Ability to lift 150-160 lbs in case of falls (male preferred for strength).
Stroke Awareness: Recognize and respond to signs of a stroke.
Light Meal Prep: Prepare simple meals as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
CNA or LPN certification (active and in good standing).
MUST have experience with advanced dementia and diabetic care.
Physical ability to assist with lifting and transfers.
Reliable and professional demeanor.
Prior experience in elderly or in-home care preferred.
