A private household of four in Santa Monica is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Meal Prep Assistant to assist with preparing meals for the family. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing meals that cater to various dietary preferences, including vegan, pescatarian, and vegetarian. The role requires preparing dinner and snack options as well as creating bento boxes for the children for after-school car rides. Family does have a hypoallergenic dog, so please be pet friendly.
LOCATION: Santa Monica, CA
SCHEDULE: 1-2 Days Weekly; 4-6 Hours
RATE: $40-80/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
Provide a weekly menu with a selection of meal options for the family to choose from.
Prepare dinner and snack options for the family (2 adults and 2 elementary-school aged children).
Create bento boxes for the children to take on after-school car rides.
Ensure meals align with the family's dietary preferences: one vegan, one pescatarian, and two vegetarians.
Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and portioning in all prepared meals.
Thoughtfully plan meals to ensure they are well-balanced, fresh, and flavorful.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in meal prep or a similar culinary role, especially with various dietary needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in meal planning and execution.
Ability to create flavorful and balanced meals that align with vegan, pescatarian, and vegetarian diets.
Excellent time management skills to complete meal prep within the designated timeframe.
Understanding of proper food storage and handling techniques.
