Meal Prep Chef Needed in Newport Beach! $500-$700/day

Date: February 27, 2026

Location: Newport Beach, CA

Job ID: Newport Beach Meal Prep

Wonderful Return Clients in Newport Beach are seeking a talented, health-conscious Meal Prep Chef to support their family of 4's weekly nutrition and wellness goals. We placed their exceptional Family Assistant three years ago (who is still happily with them!), and they are now excited to add a reliable, organized chef who can bring ease and consistency to healthy eating — with a special focus on supporting mom’s weight-loss journey. This role centers on planning and preparing balanced, macro-conscious meals for the week (3 meals per day plus snacks). Meals should be flavorful, satisfying, and approachable for both adults and children — though mom’s nutrition goals are the primary priority. The ideal candidate understands portioning, protein-forward cooking, and how to make nourishing food feel exciting rather than restrictive. The chef may cook in the home or prepare off-site and deliver, as long as meals are freshly prepared and packaged for the week across two evenly spaced prep days.

LOCATION: Newport Beach, CA

SCHEDULE: 2 days per week (evenly spaced; e.g., Mon/Thurs or Tues/Fri)

RATE: $450–$650 per week (for two prep days)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan weekly menus aligned with mom’s weight-loss and macro goals

  • Prepare 3 daily meals plus snacks for the week

  • Include a few family dinners each week

  • Create protein-rich, vegetable-forward, balanced meals

  • Prepare healthy snacks (e.g., hummus, yogurt pops, portioned items, lunch components)

  • Portion and package meals for easy storage and reheating

  • Label meals clearly with contents and reheating instructions

  • Grocery shop and source fresh, high-quality ingredients

  • Keep meals varied, appealing, and family-friendly

  • Maintain organized storage systems in fridge/freezer

  • Adjust menus as family needs evolve (including with a new baby)

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Experienced meal prep or private chef background

  • Strong understanding of nutrition and macro-balanced cooking

  • Comfortable supporting weight-loss goals in a sustainable way

  • Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented

  • Able to create healthy food that still feels satisfying and enjoyable

  • Flexible and collaborative with family preferences

  • Reliable and consistent week to week

This is a wonderful opportunity with kind, loyal return clients who truly value the professionals they bring into their home. If you love helping families feel nourished, organized, and supported through thoughtful, healthy cooking, we’d love to connect. Apply now, interviewing and trialing ASAP.
